Air pressure is not weight..
A bathroom scale should feel the weight of about a 
ton from atmospheric gas.
Why doesn't it..?

You have already said humans aren't affected by 
the weight of the atmosphere because we are liquid.. 
and liquid doesn't compress easily.
So... we can't feel the weight..?
We have all of this weight pressing down... that we don't feel..which creates air pressure...

A bathroom scale compresses easily.. and it is not liquid.

A scale does not register the weight of the air above it because it has been calibrated, iow "tared " to zero.

I just facepalmed so hard after reading this thread it left a bruise.
