[quote:wisc_natureboy:MV8yMTE2NTU4XzM1Njk0NzEyXzM5MEMxRjhE] A survival handbook and local field guide are good places to start. While I am comfortable/experienced with the climate, flora and fauna around here, I am ignorant to the issues a desert climate presents. This is a good book. SAS Survival Handbook, Revised Edition: For Any Climate, in Any Situation- Wiseman http://www.amazon.com/SAS-Survival-Handbook-Revised-Situation/dp/0061733199 Good luck. Lots of info about boondocking and staying in BLM-LVA's around the USA SW. http://www.telusplanet.net/public/waters/index.htm
Hey all. Looking for a new friend that is into survival camping. I am married with kids and I am not looking for someone to be with so no worries on that end.
Really into camping and want to learn more about survival stuff but not extreme survival!
If anyone is interested I am in the valley of arizona. If this is not the place to find what I am looking for, if anyone knows where I should go let me know.
