Original Message Isaiah 65:17 "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

Isaiah 66:22 "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the LORD, "so will your name and descendants endure.

2 Peter 3:13 "But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God's righteousness."

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

There is a point to all these references to a "new heaven and a new Earth", and that point is proved in the book, 2 Peter.

2 Peter Chapter 3 consists of only ONE Page of the Bible, and it goes into some detail about the destruction of the Earth, not once... not twice... but actually THREE times, the Earth is Destroyed.

The first half of 2 Peter Chapter 3 recaps how the First Earth was destroyed by Water.

Some speculate this refers to Noah's Flood.

Other's speculate it refers to the destruction of the Garden of Eden (First Earth) as a result of Mans contamination (Adam and Eve) and thus man was then exiled out into the new (second) Earth...while the first Earth (Garden of Eden) then becomes what we now know of as Hades or Hell due to its vile contamination's. Some speculate that the first Earth (Garden of Eden) was a prototype-Earth in a sense...

This idea that the Garden of Eden was a first Earth, or a prototype of a sense, is actually backed up by the Book of Genesis itself when we're told of how God divided the "waters". The Garden of Eden became of part of the "lower Waters"... and its not talking about the waters of the earth, the oceans or lakes.

Its telling us about the "waters of the heavens", the universe itself. It's talking about dimensions... dimensions that are not visible to us, the last one to be created was "set aside" to be prepared for the future... this is the "new heaven and new earth" that God is building and will be opened to us, gifted to us, upon Jesus' Second Coming after Lucifer has been destroyed once and for all...

The "Lower waters" is where hell or hades is supposed to be, and this is where the Garden of Eden is now due to its corruption and contamination by mankind as a result of Lucifer's influence. It was given to him to be his domain.

Anyway, the second half of 2 Peter Chapter 3, then tells that the Second Earth, the Earth we are on now, will be destroyed by FIRE!

It specifically states that heaven itself will be destroyed by fire and the heat of this fire will be so great that it will literally "melt the elements" ... and what are the elements? Earth, Wind, Water and Fire... the four elements. Or it could refer to the elements of the periodic table. What could be so destructive as a burning heat that it could destroy such elements and melt them?

The destruction by fire is believed to be several things, such as...

1. Global Nuclear War scorching the surface and rendering it uninhabitable...

2. Solar Cataclysm from our Sun scorching the surface and turning it molten for a time...

Whatever it is, there is more to 2 Peter, as it goes on to tell of God's promise of a "new heaven and a new Earth" being given to humanity which relates to Christ's return, as Revelation tells us that the "new heaven and new earth" will not be given to humanity until after Christ returns to defeat Lucifer once and for all.

THIS MEANS...

AFTER the 2nd destruction of the Earth by Fire, just as it was after the first destruction.... Mankind will be allowed to flourish once more before the third and final destruction resulting in Christ's return when the "new heaven and new Earth" is given to humanity! This is obvious because Revelation and Daniel all tell of the end times with the Earth being heavily populated. Revelation specifically tells of all the plagues and judgements upon the Earth that reduces the population...

But that won't happen until AFTER the current Earth is destroyed by Fire, a fire that destroys the heavens as well with a heat so powerful that it literally "melts the earth", which means I suspect the solar cataclysm as the more likely culprit of this. BUT there will be survivors of this cataclysm just as there were survivors of the first destruction by water!

This survivors will go on and rebuild and flourish until the third and final destruction when Jesus Christ returns to destroy Lucifer, and gift to those who held faith in Christ, the gift of a new Heaven and a New Earth to dwell upon where evil no longer exists!

Thats why the Human Race itself is not truly "ending" any time soon and also why Jesus' return is not imminent. The Earth is still awaiting its second destruction by fire in which the entire surface of the planet will be scorched and melted!

Question is, are you righteous enough to be saved this second destruction by fire, and so allowed to go on and flourish with the next Earth until Christ returns?
