Im surprised there is people who still don't believe in ufo's and et's or at least be open to the possibility they exist and are visiting us. Just using humans as an example, we have only begun to investigate the heavens and map the cosmos. The new planet finding telescopes are just the start of a new era of space mapping and exploration. There is no doubt in my mind at some point we will travel to another planet (as long as we don't kill ourselves or revert back to a dark age first). So we know of only one intelligent civilization at the present time and we know that this civilization will visit other worlds at some point. So then, why is it so hard to comprehend that if there is other intelligent civilizations (which most, if not all scientists will admit there is more than likely more then 1) that we could have been visited now or in the past? Keeping in mind they could be tens of thousands, if not millions, or even billions of years more advanced then us. People always ask why they havent seen them then and my answer is always the same: Do you think they invented an intergalactic space craft, but somehow missed the laws of physics and how you can bend light around objects rendering things invisible? If you do get lucky and see a ufo its because they wanted you to see them. I feel like there is a greater chance that we have been visited then haven't been. What do you people think is the reason people seem to be closed to this possibility? What role does the media play in this (if any)? Just looking to understand why people that believe in science are so close minded when discussing things like aliens.
