I am also commission + base, so you can see the income is also decreasing marginally...
I'm getting out asap.
Point of the thread is, retail is dying very quickly. The economy is not growing. Everyone that does buy is doing so with credit cards at 25+% APR and most of them live in chicago. I am in indianapolis, so you can see they are probably buying out of state because they have no aspiration of paying off the cards.
At 20, I went from being all about video games and movies/television to feeling sick when I get home and that's all anyone wants to do anymore. Working in the field will quickly change that in anyone, and I'm actually grateful that it helped me to wake up.
Fact is, it's a sad future.
I'm tired of handling money and all of this shit nobody needs.
What draws the line for me is when people are more focused on Dancing with the Stars or American Idol than the fact that our country is a beautified skeleton being kept alive, literally, by machines.
When it all snaps, I think people like us will have a head start, at least mentally.
My route may be to flee to the west and live like my natives.
