Let them sign up for a potential draft at 18. They want to be like men......let them be required like men. Also, the fitness requirements should never be lowered for MEN to make the women appear more "equal". You want to BE men....be like them. NO "Affirmative Action". You think that you can carry a fallen 'brother' on your back out of harm's way....during your period or pregnancy.....good luck. Little 'hanky panky'? Boom. Prepare to be raped by Jihadis, BTW. I'm sure you feminists are all prepared for THAT one, eh?
Fuck off OP. You're obviously just a woman hater. You're spouting ancient 70's dogma that women today mostly aren't interested but are trapped by the standards brought about by that. You're like 40 years too late with your complaint. How about you be a real man and help women back where they would like to be, yes, in the home, a homemaker with a loving husband. You don't qualify since you're opinion of real women is nonexistent.
Don't be upset with the OP. Sound like he might have served in the military. He makes some good points but didn't come across that way. The point of this is, currently we have a volunteer Army. If we get involved in another conflict there are not enough enlisted bodies to do the job, which could lead to a draft. I sat with my guy friends and watch the the lotto draft balls being pulled on TV back in the Vietnam era. Some of my friend with lower numbers went to Nam and never came home. As a mother, I have accepted the fact that some day my son might be called up and asked to defend our country. I DO NOT want my daughter drafted to serve on the front lines....And she doesn't want to go either. When everyone was jumping up and down because woman can now serve in battle I don't think folks added the thought of a draft into the equasion.
