Original Message I've been watching Gold Rush Alaska and thinking about the gold traps they use to collect gold in a sluice box. It occurred to me, the human appendix appears to be the same kind of gold trap. Perhaps the purpose of our lives, at least thousands of years ago, was to ingest small amounts of gold with food, and to collect it in our appendix, which would then be harvested post death.
