If your employer has under 250 people they don't have to show it on the W2s...YET.  Everyone else does, though, so you can be sure yours has that info, they just aren't showing you yet.

I work for a rather large Tech company, and yes you could say we have 250+ as we have offices in several cities and several states.

Box 12 on my W-2 was blank.  No numbers... no "DD"...

Nothing.

EDIT FOR LATECOMERS - BUSINESSES DO NOT HAVE TO SHOW THIS YET IF THEY EMPLOY LESS THAN 250 PEOPLE.
