But since you ask, why should the state be in the marriage business? Because it already is maybe? If there's any laws about marriage, the state is in that business, see? What the gays want is for the states to change the laws already there.

As for how does the government benefit? Does the government benefit from a man and woman being married? How is that any different? Because they can't make a kid? That's a good thing, there's too many people already, and these gays make fine nannies for the kids no one else wants anyway. Should the state have to pay for orphans when they can just offload the expense onto others?

Yes the Government benefits a Man and Woman marrying...If the Man supports his wife, then more jobs for Men and women who need to work because they are widows or are raising children by themselves.

The Laws are for protection for Children, so that a Man cannot just walk out of a marriage leave his kids to fend for themselves and then they become a burden to the state..

The State could give a Rats Patoon people that people want to marry who they love...
