[quote:Mr. HypGnostic:MV8yMTMwNjkwXzM1OTU5MjQ5XzNDNzY2QzEx] Deuteronomy 17:12 Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. [/quote]

Here is a Bible verse in the New Test that says love is not jealous: 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient. Love is kind. Love isn't jealous. It doesn't sing its own praises. It isn't arrogant.
Here is a Bible verse in the New Test that says God is love: 1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Here is a Bible verse in the Old Test that says God is a jealous God: Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God
How do you explain that contradiction? Love is not supposed to be jealous, yet God is a jealous God. Why does his word contradict itself on this topic?
