You are merely articulating the general assumption of the consciousness of the 'thinker' that it is the consciousness of the 'thinker' itself which is the end all and be all of consciousness itself, the only dimension of consciousness capable of apprehending reality.

There is also the consciousness of the "self", which is expressed in such things as poetry and the lyrics of songs.

And there is also a third dimension of consciousness beyond the "self" and the 'thinker' which cannot be apprehended by the scientific method since it originates in the consciousness of the 'thinker'.

This third dimension of consciousness is, for example, capable of receiving memories of previous lives and such things as telepathy.
