[quote:Terrebonne:MV8yMTMwOTU3XzM1OTY3MjMxXzQwQzE2OUM4] Neem Oil Tooth Decay One of the best uses of neem is as an antibacterial agent for the mouth. According to the Neem Foundation, neem oil is excellent as a killer of bacteria that grow in the mouth and cause tooth decay. Simply adding a drop or two of neem oil to your toothpaste or mouthwash is enough to do the job because neem oil is very concentrated. However, there are a number of toothpastes on the market that contain neem as an ingredient. According to the University of Michigan Health System, neem can be just as effective as using the medication Chlorhexidine to kill mouth bacteria. (see reference 2) In a 2004 study done by M.R Pai, L.D Acharya and N. Udupa the use of a neem gel used two times per day was as effective as using Chlorhexidine for reducing plaque and bacteria that lead to tooth decay. http://voices.yahoo.com/uses-neem-mouth-6101292.html :ah:
Had root canal, then retreatement (tooth was still tender), had several rounds of antibiotics, now tooth is reacting to heat. Doctor says to either have root canal surgery or pull it, he thinks there is a residual bacteria around the root.
Any natural ways to fix this?
