[quote:CowgirlK:MV8yMTMxMDkwXzM1OTcwMDY1XzMxMTFGNjU5] On February 15 a chunk of rock about 50 meters wide will whiz by Earth at nearly 8 km/s, coming within 27,680 km of our planetís surface ó closer than many weather and communications satellites. For those of you more comfortable with imperial units, thatís 165 feet wide traveling 17,800 mph coming within 17,200 miles. But regardless whether you prefer meters or miles, in astronomy thatís whatís called a close call. http://www.universetoday.com/99660/in-two-weeks-this-50-meter-asteroid-will-buzz-our-planet/ [/quote]
I you go to the RSOE EDIS SITE and scroll down to Asteroids there are 3 others inbound the same day as DA14. Way bigger than DA14.
So 4 coming our way that day. Look at the distances also.
Yes RSOE EDIS has it dated for the 14th. Not 15th.
