I've been preparing.....
Everything I do for my family I add more to help others

Heat/light - 
Made candles, bought loads of tea lights, set aside baby jars with realists and matches.  Made "heaters" out of beer cans.

Food/wAter
I've been making lots of soups (as I usually do all winter) and set aside some frozen for others

Warmth
Collected all the spare sheets, bedspreads and pillows that are extra to give
Love to knit and crochet, knitting anything shawls, leggings, hats, scarves, just to give away

Hygiene
Made little soap bars, wash cloths and towels and toothpaste in little bags

Religious
Bought   100 rosaries, made 100 scapulars, collecting prayer and novena cards, and little bottles of holy water

I expect when the collapse happens I might be able to share my blessings by helping those who will be wandering in the streets

I feel in my heart God has a purpose for me.

We can all do something for someone else no matter how much we have ourselves.  Believe me, I am not in the least rich, but it doesn't hurt.

Underweight. UNICEF estimates that 129 million children under 5 years old in the developing world are underweight--nearly one in four. Ten percent of children in the developing world are severely underweight. The prevalence of underweight is higher in Asia than in Africa, with rates of 27 percent and 21 percent, respectively. (UNICEF 2009, p. 17).
