[quote:Anonymous Coward 33832742:MV8yMTMyNjYyXzM2MDA1NzQyX0NFRUY5RDVG] [quote:pro fairness 33966829:MV8yMTMyNjYyXzM2MDA1NDkxX0UwMEUwQ0Yx] I have been reading many comments villifying the cops, but it seems like many people have no idea how things operate in the real world...and what cops are allowed to do and it's not an infringement on our rights..it is common sense allowing cops to do their dangerous jobs with minimal threats to their safety or the safety of the civilian population..that being said cops can shoot you when they reasonably believe given the circumstances, that you are a continous threat to life and that your delayed capture would allow you to keep committing the same crimes ( serial killer...which at this point Dorner is ). Now the shooting of the two women happenned at night, while they were driving with their headlights off to deliver newspapers. They did so to not disturb the residents of the homes where they were delivering ( when they pulled into their driveway). The cops were on a security detail at the residence of one of the cops named in Dorner's manifesto/suicide note. The saw the vehicle, a truck similar to Dorner's, driving form the left side of the street to the right as if checking adresses ( they were actually throwing the newspapers out the window for efficiency). Cops used their flashlights to illuminate the truck, however the truck never stopped and based on how the circumstances evolved the hours prior, they believed that the truck was driven by Dorner and opened fire trying to stop the serial killer from accessing additional victims. Unfortunately, it was a case of mistaken identity, but one can hopefully see how it can happen to anyone.. : ) moral of the story...the ladies will not deliver newspapers anymore after the litigation is over. please read the following Constitutional Law—Deadly Force and the Fourth Amendment: Tennessee v. Garner Dorner's suicide note / manifesto [link to wap.myfoxla.com] And what led to all this [link to www.fearnotlaw.com] [/quote] moral of the story.... Idiot cops shoot innocent women while they were doing a job that they and thousands of others just like them have done in the same way, at the same time of day, every day of the week, for years and years, all over the city of Los Angeles, and have been seen doing this same job, every day, for years and years, by thousands of LAPD police officers. Those moronic cops could probably have set their watches (assuming they have the ability to tell time) just by watching those women drive by right in front of them at the exact same time every day of the week. Yesterday they made a big deal that the L.A. police, and other California agencies had issued a "Blue Alert" According to the CHP a "Blue Alert" is issued when an officer is killed.

So now here is something interesting. I googled "Blue Alert" along with California, CHP, or "Los Angelas" and filtered for anytime before this week.

With how many officers are killed in any given year there should be quite a few news stories of "Blue ALert" being activated.
NONE!! Not until this week.
So a "Blue Alert" apparently never has been used before.
So what happened this time when a "Blue Alert" was sent out?

“There was no warning. There were no orders. No commands. Just gunshots.”
as two Asian women were both shot for just being in a truck.

A second officer-involved shooting involving Torrance police occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Flagler Lane, Cmmdr. Andrew Smith said. No injuries were reported in that incident.
So what does it mean?
The "Blue Alert" declaration is a shoot to kill order. They are not even attempting to take Dorner alive.
In previous Police shootings No "Blue Alert" was ever given, suspects were not shot at with no direct threat.
Please do the research. Prove me wrong.
