You're FOS if you claim they are shorting you by 25%. Many people including me know how many gallons it takes to fill my tank from 1/4, 1/2, etc. If they were off by that much they'd be busted in short order. As far as putting regular in the premium tank, I'm sure a few have done it but it must be rare. My Boxster calls for premium, and I put in an aftermarket chip that is tuned to 93 octane. If I was putting regular in it, it'd ping like no other.
You not only don't have a Boxster (you're too stupid to have that kind of money), there is no way to know for sure exactly how much gas you got from the gas gauge of a car. They are notoriously inaccurate and can give a wide range of readings under different conditions, such as temperature, voltage output of the voltage regulator and level of the car when filling. Also FYI a Boxster in American trim will run on regular pump gas just fine, it just won't run as hot or produce as much horsepower. The computer will automatically adjust for the lower octane through the sensor feedback. There is no car sold in America that will not run on regular pump gas satisfactory, simply because many stations don't have high octane (>89)
Did this last week at 5 different gas stations and guess what?
It only filled the 1 "gallon" of gas only filled up 3/4ths of the gallon milk jug.
We are being cheated not only by unexplainable soaring gas prices, but we aren't even getting what we are supposedly paying for.
Fucking bullshit.
Don't believe it? Try it yourselves...
