[quote:Anonymous Coward 4424740:MV8yMTM3ODI1XzM2MDk3OTAxXzM4MTY4NkU3] "Sovereign Citizens" is a term that applies to *ALL* Americans. However, your government is lying to you. YOU are a sovereign citizen. The ones they seek to discredit and destroy are the ones who know what it means. Here is what it means: There is "The Law", known as common law or Constitutional Law. Then, there is everthing else. Its fake law. It looks like law but its not law. Its "Color of Law". You have to obey it because you signed something or you just think you have to obey it. The government doesn't like people that know they don't have to follow fake law or color of law. THESE are called "sovereign citizens". We are the ones that keep the government in check. They hate us because we know the government is not REALLY our government but nothing but a hull of what it should be. They'll demonize us as much as they can, but, in the end, they run out of money. We win, regardless of what they do. They are empty. They are lies. The truth doesn't require your belief. Neither do "Soveregn Citizens". Statutes, codes, ordinanced, etc, are rules created by men by concent of those who wish to obey them and then you have been coerced into believing you have to obey them too. Its quite the scam game and they've perfected it since The Act of 1871. "I am free regardless of what rules surround me." Dear government, your immoral arguments are being exposed. PS: KISS MY ASS! I really don't know much about this subject. Is this a genuine description of these people of just the M.S.M. demonizing them?
From Kfor TV out of Oklahoma:
"Law enforcement is paying special attention to a re-surging group of individual extremists; sovereign citizens.
They are anti-government Americans who believe the U.S. government has no authority".
"The world-wide web has been a handy tool in sovereign circles, spreading tactics of their particular flavor of lawlessness.
Sovereign citizens usually represent themselves in court, filing nonsensical paperwork on their own behalf.
Many sovereigns document their struggles to be taken seriously, then post them online.
They rarely have much success."
“What I understand people in some of these cases are doing is making the argument that the original constitutional order left people free from the authority of the federal government and maybe from laws at the state level as well,” Blitz said. “So (they say) ‘You can’t apply these laws to me.’ Not surprisingly, the judges have said, ‘Yes we can.’”

I just want to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. You've all given me a bit of a crash education on this subject and directed me to some great sources for learning even more. It's bed time for me but I'm looking forward to reading any new post when I get up.
Once again, thank you!
