Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict XVI (ex), knows where a lot of bodies are buried.
Ratzinger was brought to the Vatican by Pope John Paul II, or rather, his handlers.
This article was sure news to me...
"The news circulated that John Paul II was fine again. But on Wednesday, March 23, he appeared at the window of his apartment with an angry, acrimonious face, tried to speak, but was not able to do so" -- because he had mysteriously been operated on for a tracheotomy and nobody knew quite why!

"No satisfactory explanation. Just an insistence on the same point: he had a cold and a light respiratory problem. Why the need for such a radical procedure as a tracheotomy, which had a side consequence of preventing him from speaking? No explanation."
Ten days later he was dead.
Nothing about his last weeks of life made sense.
