Imagine a little cell in your body asking its friends and neighbors -- Hey guys, what is this big allpowerful entity they call 'AgnosticDeity', where is it? I have never seen it or heard it,... I don't think it exists. Reductio ad absurdum -- type your name on the keyboard and watch your hands as you do it. What are the odds that some bunch of molecules colliding completely aimlessly will come together to assemble into those hands, another bunch next to it also aimlessly colliding, assemble into your arms, then some more bunches into the rest of you, then another bunches into that keyboard, computer, cable modem, the ISP Data center, power stations supplying your computer, your lightbulb, your ISP's Data Center,.... Then the bunches making your fingers moving that particular way all in synchrony and just happen to produce, of all conceivable light patterns, none other your own name on the screen... It all supposedly came together just so, by pure aimless collisions between molecules, after all these molecules clumped together as Earth few billion years ago. If that's all there is to it, everything is just randomly colliding by physical laws and nothing else is there, why would they assemble like that and do what you're doing now, what your computer is doing, what rest of us is doing... What are the odds of everything coming together by aimless collisions. Does it seem like that's all there is to it?
Come ye fishers of men, I'm looking for proof that "God" is real. I see all these people linking scripture with the wildest things, claiming that evolution is bunk, the big bang is bunk, and that the world is only 6000 years old... Despite evidence that evolution, the big bang, the bible as allegory, and radiocarbon dating are more than likely correct. So where is the proof that "God" actually exists?
I'm not looking for that tired old "you can see God in a baby's smile or a sunset" rhetoric. I'm looking for quantifiable incontrovertible proof that there is a "God" and that I will suffer eternally for doubting his existence.
You holy rollers should find this a rather easy question to answer and have the proof falling out of your ears, so I beg of you to share with others... After all you are supposed to be as worried about our immortal souls as you are of your own.
