It just that normally they are more than 100 miles off shore, so unless you're out sailing or fishing, you're not going to see them. "
Oh yeah...cause most people who surf and teach sailing are commonly 100 miles offshore. What an idiot. And of course...we can all see 100 miles offshore from the beach
That is his point, idiot. Most people would never see these large pods because usually they are only found far out to sea where you cannot see. But someone who sails would see it. These do happen and if you research before posting with your hair on fire you would know that. And the number given in the article is exaggereated. Dutra is a bit of a woo, like you.
Ahhh...cause there are never ships 100 miles out to sea, right? And this has been reported numerous times, right? I think not. What you're ranting on about doesn't matter. There are tons of ocean going vessels and there is rarely a photo or video of anything remotely similar to this. Like I said...the research I DID DO, was reporting that the largest groups rarely go over 5,000 in numbers. This is 20 times that number (Just in case you were having a hard time with the math)
A group of over 100,000 dolphins spotted off the coast of San Diego caused a spectacle for nature watchers as they traveled together in an enormous pack.
'They were coming from all directions, you could see them from as far as the eye can see,' Joe Dutra said after seeing the spectacle first hand.
Mr Dutra, who captains Hornblower Cruises, was out on his daily tour with a boat full of nature watchers when he spotted the massive group of dolphins.
