[quote:Anonymous Coward 67500:MV8yMTQ2NTBfNDAyNTMyMF9BQjU2QjI1Ng==] Thanks for the concern, Chiptruth, er, I mean, subgenius:-)~ but it really doesn't take much time nor effort on my part and I do 'pick my battles'. I have my reasons for when and where I respond, as in this case, which isn't simply to acknowledge you but return the post to the front page and have more learn about 'Divine Strake'. My 'raison d'aitre' to begin with. No one, Chipster, is 'getting my goat' (I find the debunkers, and pointing some goons out, often entertaining). Believe me, I have lots of time to do the other things I do... GLP is not only a recreational break when I'm at the computer (which can be quite often) but I truly like some of the posters I've met here and find them, often, far more interesting than those in my paradigm. Fringe? Sure, however, if you look at any point in history, a percentage, if ever so slight, of those 'on the edge' have always had a better grasp on what's truly 'going on' than the rest of society at the time. As for A. Whitney..., he's okay, but there are others I personally find far more impressive. Concerning the 'ad hominem' thing, dude, while the focus on the last few posts I've seen of yours has improved (as you've honed them down, somewhat, to a sigle topic), I clearly understand what that terminology means but, frankly, you've really gotta' drop that writing 'crutch'. It's what gave you away immediately to me, in fact. Nevertheless, our brief exchange here has once again shed light on 'Divine Strake' to more readers and, applying the 'Rule of Six', which even the goons in the Pentagon acknowledge, we've helped alert even more to their June 2nd plan. Later, Chipster! :hi: BMG [/quote]

"If you want to model these weapons, you want to know from a modelling point of view what is the ideal best condition you could ever set up in a conventional weapon - what's the best you can do.
"And this gets at the best point you could get on a curve. So it allows us to predict how effective these kinds of weapons ... would be."

700-tonne blast test near Las Vegas
By Jim Mannion in Washington
31-03-2006
From: AAP
THE US military planned to detonate a 700-tonne explosive charge in a test called "Divine Strake" that could send a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas, a senior defence official said.
"I don't want to sound glib here but it is the first time in Nevada that you'll see a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas since we stopped testing nuclear weapons," James Tegnelia, head of the Defence Threat Reduction Agency said.
Mr Tegnelia's remark at a breakfast with defence reporters set off shock waves of its own in Washington.
