Original Message ENCINITAS (CBS 8) - Two sheriff's deputies were wounded in a shooting in Leucadia Wednesday afternoon, prompting a SWAT situation and evacuation of residents.

It happened in the 700 block of Del Rio Avenue near Leucadia Boulevard. The deputies were reportedly searching for a suspect involved in a vehicle theft when the shootings occurred just after 3:30 p.m., a sheriff's official said.
