I've always been very careful about my weight. Since I was 16, I've eaten small meals, and worked out at least 3 times a week. I'm not a stick, but I have a nice hourglass figure and prefer to keep it that way.
My husband, and men in general don't understand this concept. They don't understand what women go through, and the sacrifices we make to keep our figures.
My husband eats whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He's not fat by any means, but he's got more fat on him than I want to have on me. He's never had to sacrifice that pizza, burger, or ice-cream. He doesn't know what it's like, or how hard it is . He's always saying to me "just eat it...just a baby bite". By flaunting it in front of me, and getting his feelings hurt when I don't eat,, it makes it that much harder for me.
What he doesn't understand is that women retain MUCH more fat then men do. Men burn calories at a must faster rate. That's not to mention that we have an extra layer of fat on our stomachs.
If I ate the things he ate every day, I'd look like a little piglet. He would no longer have the "pretty wife". I know he doesn't want that.
So, next time I tell him "no thank you", he needs to thank God that I'm willing to make that sacrifice. which benefits him in the end.
