Original Message In 2 months, my cousin and I are going on an extended road trip to the west, if not sooner.

Here is the plan, and what I need advice on.

I have a cavalier in rough condition. What we need is a decent sized van. The cavalier dies and has a rough idle, has 132k miles. Would be alright with a little work.

I've got about $1000 to spend.

Just need some general advice.

What should we do to be prepared?
