BROCKTON, Mass. —A Brockton woman said the iPad she bought at Walmart was fake.

"When I first opened it I thought, 'Wow it's so light, Apple really is an elegant product,'" said Suzanne Nassise.

She said what she bought at the Westgate Mall Walmart looked just like the latest iPad until she tried to turn it on.

"I don't know what it is. I don't know if this is just a sample, but it doesn't work," said Nassise.

Walmart initially would neither exchange it nor offer a refund, telling her that is store policy when a product is unwrapped.
