Meet Karin Halstead, volunteers for “Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company” as an EMS Captain. If she was only a volunteer EMS captian that might explain why her story doens't describe the professional conduct of say and EMT for example. Note in her story that she arrives in a "rescue truck" not an ambulance.
"Unfortunately, we only got to work on two people instead of 26 that we maybe could have helped," Bill Halstead said. What??? This is the entire problem with this story, if it was safe enough to evacuate two of the 20 children who were shot, why not evacuate the other 18? Halstead's story is actually an ommission of negligent homocide through failure of duty to rescue, since she is the EMScaptain then she made the call not to evacuate, yet nowhere in any of her interviews does she address the issue of who made the decision to not give the other 18 children an evacuation to a hospital, which they are required to do by law.
"I think that's the toughest part, is we're trained to do this and we wanted people," "We wanted to take care of people and keep them alive and there's nothing we could do.", said Karin Halstead. Nothing you could do??? How about doing your job which invcludes evacatuing the children who were shot to the hospital, duh.
If there is any doubt that she was responsible for evacuting the shot children, remember it was safe to evacuated two of them so it was safe to evacuate the other 18, this is from a manual for the responsibities of EMS captains "Supervises activities of assigned EMS company, including
lieutenants, and firefighter/EMTs." "Supervises all volunteer firefighter/EMT positions, either directly or through other subordinate officers."

She says she started off 30 seconds away from firehous in her office, she says while laughing. we went up in the rescue truck the five of us including her dad, says her dad wanted to ride the rescue truck with her "and he wanted to make it even more [inaudible] with my boyfriend he's our captain" the she innocently giggles after this statement about her boyfriend.
Remember this is when she captain of the first medical responders, EMS, on the scene of 26 children who have just been shot, but apparently hijinzx with her dad and boyfriends relationship is more notable to her than the shot, bleeding children (real and or imaginary) she needs to be focusing on saving. and by the way what is a rescue truck? why wouldnt they have ambulances for the EMS first responders. She cant seem to stop laughing at these inappriopriate times, and the half or more of her story is feed to her by her interviewer
As far as the major issue of the criminal negligence, commited by whomever ordered the EMT's to "stand down" while they legally have to meet their legal obligation was to rescue the other 18 shot children by evacuating them to the hospital, Karin Halstead who is the main suspected criminal who failed in the duty to rescue the other 18 shot children, by her own admission, she only states in the interview that she says "when we pulled up" (meaning her, her boyfriend and her dad plus two other unknowns) "they were just marching the children out of the school, so..." "then we just went ahead and did our work" "with anyone not affected without injuries they just marched everyone down to the firehouse" (again no mention of evecuation of shot children at all, just the we "did our work" statement I guess failure of "duty to rescue is her work". From this interview she does not give any mention of her being the one who made the EMT stand down,
