Children of the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's...
I remember actually bumming a cigarette from the shop class teacher, he was really cool (Drove a tricked out Camaro)
I then recall the school had a "crackdown" and the principal came on the loudspeaker and said any kids who smoke have to do it in the student parking lot.
Most kids had loaded deer rifles in their cars and trucks, nobody ran in the school and massacred students.
Those were the days.
