Could we finally be hitting the wall? This faux recovery will have to fail sooner or later, and the puzzle pieces seem to be coming together.
Savings accounts in Spain, Italy and other European countries will be raided if needed to preserve Europe's single currency by propping up failing banks, a senior eurozone official has announced. [link to www.telegraph.co.uk]
The Great Recession is an apt name for America's current stagnation, but the present phase might also be called the Grand Illusion—because the happy talk and statistics that go with it, especially regarding jobs, give a rosier picture than the facts justify. [link to online.wsj.com]
