Original Message Most people come to internet message boards expecting everyone to just be stating their own private ideas and opinions. So, their guards are down. That's why it's a perfect oppurtunity for the powers that be (governments, political parties, corporations, etc.) to pay people to spam message boards with official stories, disinformation, marketing schemes, etc.

What it comes down to is this: internet message boards can be and are a tool for mind control.
