[quote:Merlin77:MV8yMjAwMDkxXzM3NzkyMjM0X0RGMDExRDRF] [quote:0verlord:MV8yMjAwMDkxXzM3NzkwNTA4XzUyRENEQ0E4] Since you love history, I would assume you know all about Rome? If so could you type up a brief "essay" or "summary" outlining your thoughts on the empire?
I don't know all about Rome (I wish), in fact I don't know all about nothing. My thoughts about Rome? Well, keep in mind English is not my first language and I am not an expert nor a scholar, but I would try to answer it: 1. Rome was the first succesful attempt to create what we call nowadays a "Global Power" that lasted long enough, around 5 centuries from Augustus to the last Emperor Romulus Augustulus (if I remember correctly) who was ousted in 476 AD. 2. Previously there had been one attempt to create such a Global Power in the person of Alexander the Great, but his Empire was far too ephimerous and moreover it desintregated itsel when he died. 3. Rome fell (in my opinion) because it allowed rich romans become too rich and hence too powerful. Due to it, Rome could not extract from them the needed taxes to survive. 4. In the religious aspect is very interesting to see that the Roman Empire era was also the transition point between the polytheistic paganism to the monotheistic christianism. What a revolution, if one thinks about it. These are my thoughts about Rome right now.
I have been researching various sites like these and have come to the conclusion that we have won. Of the 99% of people who post sources are sources straight from us. It is really humorous considering that people actually think they are making a difference. You know in the movie where some young man argues, "I WANT THE TRUTH", and the official replies, "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"? Well in reality that is correct.
No-one can handle it and live to tell the tale without being one of us. Everything you see and hear has been orchestrated to perfection. Some may say that we are the so called "Prophets" after all. If there is even a glimmer of hope left for the so called "human" race it is in the hands of a few people whom we have given some information subliminally, purposefully to see whether they can debunk us. So far they have failed miserably.
All I can say is that of the few we have let our existence known to, it doesn't even matter. We have realised with finality that nothing stands in our way.
You better pray to whatever God you believe in because your last hope has diminished. Soon Hell will become a living reality, like literally.
The Dark side have won it all from the beginning so it seems.
