Veteran constable Scott Andrew Terry had been suspended with pay more than a year ago, pending his trial.

A veteran constable who faces criminal charges ranging from sexual assault to making child pornography is back on the job, according to sources within the Durham Region police service.

Officers who requested anonymity said Thursday that the surprise return of Const. Scott Andrew Terry to the force’s Oshawa station for duty after more than a year under suspension with pay has baffled some staff.

Shit like this is the reason people have seriously begun loosing faith in the system. If you hold a position that requires you to hold people accountable for their actions, you should not only be held equally accountable, but held to a higher standard. Whoever allowed this, regardless of the duties this guy is doing out of public view, should also be fired, this shows an incredible lack of judgment. I feel sorry for anyone living in that jurisdiction.
