I can't help but to think that this ISON comet is wormwood, because of the admission that it will produce lots of dust from the comet.

NASA's Swift spacecraft caught sight of the speeding comet in January when the ball of ice and dirt was discharging more than 112,000 pounds (50,802 kilograms) of dust every minute as it passed Jupiter.
The thing is, this dust is not harmless either. A majority of comets contain what is concidered cyanide gas or dust particles.
