The 'Elmo' puppeteer who resigned from 'Sesame Street' amid allegations that he had sexual relationships with minors has been nominated for a daytime entertainment Emmy award.
Kevin Clash was nominated on Wednesday for 'outstanding performer in a children's series' and he was included in the 'Sesame Street' nomination for 'outstanding preschool children's' series.'
Several men have claimed that they had sexual relationships with Clash while they were underage.
The first accuser's claims were made public in November, and since then, several more have come forward with similar accusations.
Clash denies all the accusations, though he did say he was in a 'consenting' relationship with the first accuser.
