This is the norm now. It isnt suspicious. They do it for your protection and theirs. A lot of illegals will steal peoples IDs for free healthcare. This proves its you when you come to the office. BUT this does tie into having all your data digitally available to all within government. Which ties to "mental health" with gun control and other factors. You may decline. But i do feel safer seeing it is protecting my identity. I show photo ID with my health insurance, so i have no problem with them confirming my face.
Fuck off, shill.
Nice pickup on that one. Ditto.
I don't know. I've worked in health care IT as well. The poster pointed out that the electronic medical record is now in the hands of the govt. Personally, I don't want my picture being taken at the docs office. But at the same time, think about the doctors perspective....they have thousands of patients in a year and have to rely on memory for all those faces. People aren't just a number at the clinic. Do you want your doctor to think of you as "that allergy patient"?
Went to my surgeon's office this morning. He shares the office space with a lot of different Dr's.
I was checking in at the desk and the receptionist told me they had to take my pic. I asked her why and she told me for security reasons, so they know who's coming in and out.
I thought that was strange. They have cameras around the building to see who's coming and going.
Any thoughts? I've never heard of this before.
