If Iran gets pissed and joins the fight it could give Isreal a reason to go at Iran...Russia might not be too happy about the US arming Syrian rebels, so you'd have to assume they'd like to get a dog into the fight...that could bring in China, NK. The US would have to call for it's allies to assist etc...
But what would we actually be fighting for?
