President Obama hasn't spoken publicly about his administration's evidence that Bashar al-Assad's Syrian regime has crossed his "red line" with its use of chemical weapons, but the White House indicated Friday that he will soon speak out.

Obama plans to hold a press conference while in Northern Ireland early next week for the G-8 summit and also has public remarks planned during his brief trip abroad, which also includes a stop in Berlin, where he will speak on the east side of the Brandenburg Gate, Rhodes said.
