The average GLP is better informed than the average citizen and that is in part due to Doorbert, et. al. I am intrigued by those who wish to silence him? People need more information not less, so what is your agenda?
That's true but most times it is a headline and no personal comments which is the 'unusual part'. 'If' he is just passing along what is being fed to him then he is being used (knowingly or unknowingly) and there has to be a motive in there somewhere. The articles are now more balanced than what I noticed in the past. Personally the headlines are more than worth reading, at the same time the validity of the headline has to be inspected cause I doubt he filters out the bullshit headlines (which is fine as sooner or later a pattern might emerge that makes it easy to pick out the truth from the fiction. I even hope he is getting paid something and if he isn't then he should be by somebody (other than me)
Saudi Arabia, a staunch opponent of President Bashar al-Assad since early in Syria’s conflict, began supplying anti-aircraft missiles to rebels “on a small scale” about two months ago, a Gulf source said on Monday.
The shoulder-fired weapons were obtained mostly from suppliers in France and Belgium.
France had paid for the transport of the weapons to the region.
The supplies were intended for General Salim Idriss, leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), who was still the kingdom’s main “point man” in the opposition, the source said.
The Gulf source said without elaborating that the kingdom had begun taking a more active role in the Syrian conflict in recent weeks due to the intensification of the conflict.
