[quote:Anonymous Coward 42357089:MV8yMjc0NDUwXzM4Njc3NDg3XzU3MjEwNjQy] Climate change???? a completely meaningless term The goddamn climate is always changing, it's what climates do; some times it's warm, sometimes it cold, sometimes it sunny sometimes it's not, some days it rains some days it doesn't. How does this nimrod explain climate anomalies in the past? How is human activity changing the climate on all the other planets that also appear to be heating up? I have yet to see any REAL evidence that human activity is changing the global climate in any way. Sure there is the local heat island effect in big cities, but get away from all that concrete and asphalt and it disappears. I have yet to see nay evidence that anything these freedom hating pieces of crap come up with will have any real impact on the global climate. Trust me, the next thing will be: the problem is too many people, we must reduce the Earth population to save the planet. The earth is in no danger, it will be spinning away long after humans are gone. All this is is yet another theft via legislation George Carlin said it better than I ever could:
In sweeping proposals released after four years of frustrated efforts, Mr Obama ordered new curbs on carbon emissions from power plants and called for America to ready its defences against an already-changing climate.
The president also surprised environmentalists by signalling he would reject a controversial oil pipeline if it was found to “significantly exacerbate” the problem of carbon pollution.
“I refuse to condemn your generation and future generations to a planet that is beyond fixing,” Mr Obama told students at Georgetown University. “As a president, as a father and as an American I’m here to say we need to act.”
Mr Obama first promised a new push on climate change during his inagural address on a freezing morning in January, warning that failing to cut emissions “would betray our children”.
Today, as Washington sweltered in the summer heat, Mr Obama finally laid out the details of his plan, which can be carried out by executive order and therefore do not need Congressional approval.
