[quote:Anonymous Coward 42215713:MV8yMjc2NzIyXzM4NzIwNjAxX0QxNzgzQjc4] [quote:M*walk:MV8yMjc2NzIyXzM4NzE5OTk0XzQxMjQwNkQ5] You failed to mention that for the most part this dude is FULL OF SHIT, he has a few ok points, but the American people seem to OPPOSE most wars, but the crooked assholes that get into positions of power do what tptb tell them too, not all, but most. And we the people will mysteriously disappear for opposing our dear leaders...
People can say what every they want about war. But Americans gleeful fill out their tax forms every year looking for that rebate, that is personalized and customized for their life choices that are cooler than everyone else. And when they get their rebate, they usually go blow it on some trinkets that makes them feel even MOAR cooler than everyone else. Just like machines in a casino, it is personalized to you, so you consent. It feels like a fun time, even if you realize you are losing. But just like a casino. You don't march into the bosses office and ask them what they spend their profits on. If the USA had any type of a legitimate taxation framework, the foreign wars and police state would dramatically curtailed. If they wanted these extortionately expensive wastes of money and human life, they would be forced to sell war bonds. Instead, the very nature of filling out your taxes in the current system is not only funding all this statist bullshit -- but your entire set of life choices -- are also being rationed to support the war effort in non-monetary ways. :pennywise:
Defiant authorities in Ecuador say they won't bow to U.S. pressure as they weigh former NSA contractor Edward Snowden's request for asylum.
Ecuador's president and other top officials said Thursday that they're turning down the trade benefits the United States gives them as part of the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act.
"It is outrageous to try to delegitimize a state for receiving a petition of asylum," Correa said.
