Americans generally may not be aware of it, but they are the source of a constant outpouring of movies or TV shows based on zombies.
Remember also the case of the "zombie cannibal" in Florida last year. Why was he referred to in this way on a large part of forum threads ?
And now, we have - yes, another movie basically about zombies... OK, it is featuring Brad Pitt no less, but still zombies are what the plot is based upon as far as I can deduce from

Furthermore, this movie of course is also jumping on the "world war" bandwagon which is a popular public issue. The clever idea here was to give it a title combining both zombies and world war.
Cultures have their own ways of life and their idiosyncrasies... why is American society sensitive to the highly improbably and fantastic zombie menace phenomenon ?
