Original Message let's say Joe Blough gets into a car accident. he is in critical condition for the next six months.

he is in the hospital. he had a great slave job with overpriced health insurance that he paid for without using for about a decade.

the month following his accident, he is a total loner with no savings... all banged up in the hospital, and he is unable to pay his future insurance premiums.

what happens at this point?

does the insurance coverage stop? or is he covered until he is released from the hospital?
