[quote:Anonymous Coward 26795689:MV8yMzA4NTQ5XzM5MzQyODY1XzQ4QzBEM0Q3] [quote:I am he that is I:MV8yMzA4NTQ5XzM5MzQyMzcxXzVBRTNDOTZF] Fair enough. By 'athiest' I was just referring to one who does not believe in intelligent design, but rather that our universe is the result of some random 'accident'. I do not 'believe' in G-d, because I have experienced 'He/She/Them' so my experience transcends any belief. If others do not subscribe to that, it is of no bother to me, people can believe anything they want to believe. I did assume that you were somewhat versed in occult texts by your above post, but now I see that you are well versed in critical thinking and common sense. I see also that your interests coincide with my own, and I apologize for delving into a discussion of 'labels'.
No offense taken and I appreciate your inquiry/question for me. I believe in observing and appreciating the wonders, beauty, and design of the Universe and the laws by which it operates. However I don't subscribe to the more simple-minded 'creationist theories' that portray a personified 'deity' magically making planets & humans out of dust - the conceptualizations that make no serious attempt to explain how something could transpire or come to be, but just claim that it did and disregard any in-depth analysis. I would imagine that the creation of the Universe and the origins of intelligent 'life/beings' would be so complex that it would actually transcend our ability to conceive of it from the filter or veil of human (physical-based) perception. However I believe once the soul or spirit-stream permanetly separates from the physical body - then this knowledge & awareness will be made available to us and become clear. It's also possible that the 'physical Universe' we perceive is indeed holographic in nature and more along the lines of an advanced simulation and that rest of or the other dimensions of 'existence' are drastically different from this dense, 3-dimensional 'reality' that we perceive. So using our physical senses as the basis of our speculating/theorizing might indeed be misleading. I would agree with you that I critical thinking, common sense, and open-mindedness would characterize my approach to thinking. And yes, personal experience does trump all limitations created by human language and archetypes/paradigms. Glad to hear we share similar interests. :greenkarma:
