Original Message Perseid Meteor showers peaking now through tomorrow night. Thanks to our beloved internet we can observe them from our computers even if it's raining outside. Of course if you're blessed with clear, dark skies all you need is a lounge chair or blanket, some bug repellent and a pair of eyeballs. That's right, NO FANCY OPTICS REQUIRED.

If it cloudy, raining, or light-polluted where you are, or you're just afraid to leave the cocoon.....there is a remedy. The Meteor Detection site has a live feed of radar echoes (just click on the 'Live Audio' item in the menu. Also, their 3D Meteor detector has been hoppin' all night:
