Original Message Comment: It is not simply defunding Obamacare, it is about "austerity," for the bail out where corporate welfare steals from the American people.

After 11 days of government shutdown and panic mongering over the looming debt ceiling deadline, President Obama and Congressional leaders from both parties appear ready to cut a murderous austerity deal, hoping that the vast majority of Americans will be so relieved that the government has gone back to work that they will miss the genocidal consequences. Thursday night, into Friday morning, House and Senate Republicans met at the White House [1] with Obama and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew to finally work out a deal to fund the Federal government and extend the debt ceiling. According to participants in the Friday morning Senate meeting with Obama, the topic went far beyond the immediate crisis to an "in depth talk" about future spending and the government debt crisis.

All along, Republicans have been demanding deep cuts in Medicare and Social Security, even beyond the Obamacare slash and burn consequences and the devastating impact of the already-implemented sequestration cuts. Obama has been more than willing to go along with these cuts in the social safety net, while hoping to maintain his rhetorical opposition to placate progressive Democrats.
