Original Message Well I have a diabetic cat I have to give her insulin every day. She takes Lantus, the same stuff they use for people. I have only been giving it to her for about 3 months. The vet had some extra insulin they gave to me so I didnt have to buy any right away. I called the vet today to get a refill on her prescription. Last month when I called to check prices the cheapest place I found was sams club for $98. Today the vet told me it is now $198 for the same size vial at sams club. I was quite confused and asked why, she said "Its because of obamacare. Now that everyone has to have insurance the drug companies can charge whatever they want"
Lucky for me that vial will last about 6 months, so I can afford it. But what about the people that use 1 or more of those vials a month?
