Original Message Okay there's already a thread going where someone asked what the "forbidden fruit" was.

Naturally everyone wants to say it was "sex", but that's a screwy idea(pun intended) because afterwards God said something like "behold, they have become as Us, able to discerne good from evil" which to me seems to refer to the faculty of Judgment, not to be confused with "being judgmental" as the pacifists are trying to say(If you think Jesus was a "pacifist" you haven't read the part where he beat up the jewish bankers in the temple and bodily threw them out). Also someone pointed out that the 'sex with satan' idea would mean Adam too had sex with satan because he too "ate of the fruit", so I think we can dispense with that explanation, and also with the fellatio jokes they inspire others to post.

Another bunch of replies are from people that can't wait to post links to gnostic websites telling all about how the forbidden fruit was hallucinogens. Well sorry but no I do not see Eve scraping Iboga bark to make tea, and I do not believe the Garden of Eden had Amanita or Psilocybe mushrooms growing in it lol.

There were also odd theories about what the serpent was, but the bible says he was more clever than the other beasts, and beasts have four legs. Also he was cursed to slither on his belly. A serpent that doesnt slither on his belly because it has four legs is a lizard or some other reptile. Note how Asian dragons are depicted as being snakelike but with four legs.

Anyway if the entry point i've set up is not too high or two narrow, does anyone have theories about the "forbidden fruit"?
