Both Stuart and another noted Mayan scholar, Carl Callaway of La Trobe University in Melborne, Australia, admit that December 21, 2013, marks a special occasion in the ancient Mayan calendar. They hold that December 21, 2012, marks the end of the 13th Bak'tun period. The close of each Bak'tun period occurs approximately once every 5125 years. The last time a Bak'tun period ended was at the beginning of the current Maya era in August 11, 3114 B.C. making December 21, 2013, the dawn of a new period."

Its been discussed in many threads already over the internet, the year 0 is not counted, but also the correct new dawn is not 16th december but 21th when the astronomical winter season starts. The fall season needs to decompose the last remnants of old fruit fully. Those who are evolutionally ripe and spiritually evolved know this already and will enter the new age on that date or the day after.
Those who are not evolutionally capable for the upcoming reality, will be cut off very shortly as was the case with the neanderthals in their last days. Look deep in your heart and see the end is near.
The old mayan prophecy is still very much alive!
