They will raise taxes on the producers...as they always do.
It's not a tax. Remember? The IRS will enforce Obamacare, but it's not a tax, it was challenged in the supreme court and despite being unconstitutional it was upheld as law. By design millions of Americans will be forced our of affordable coverage plans and group/employer plans because these plans cannot meet the minimum requirements of the ACA LAW, they will be forced into higher cost plans by design, forced by the LAW. The administration and architects of Obamacare are counting on those hundreds of millions to fund the subsidies for the poor and for the free care for the very poor. They need the participation of MILLIONS of young healthy Americans. The only way it will fail is if everyone refuses to sign up. Problem is, that will leave millions without any health coverage at all, people need to realize that if they have not yet been cancelled from existing coverage plans they will eventually, the plans they have now will be illegal under the full implementation of the ACA. It all comes down to having NO other choice ultimately.
Exactly my ex who has great insurance now and stage four renal cancer has been told his work insurance is being cancelled and he can't afford obamacare.. Wtf? How does this help?
There are massive numbers of people going through this now. There will be as many as 100 million more cancellations when the ACA is is fully implemented with the employer mandate. It is a "tragic by necessary" consequence of the ACA, but as far as the Obama administration is concerned it is for the better for people, they will get much better (more expensive) coverage. Your ex cannot be denied coverage because of his preexisting condition now, but sadly he can't afford the new coverage either. Maybe when fully implemented they will be able to give people like your ex free pain pills and send them home to die?
