If you seriously think it was a earthquake at Yellowstone, please provide the USGS, RSOE or EMSC link to that quake. You won't find one as a Earthquake didn't happen there.... It is the shock wave from the 6.7 Chile quake. When a big earthquake happens, the wave spreads around the globe, hence the saying "World is ringing like a bell"...It shows on most of the Worlds Seismographs... Why is it showing later than the quake? the wave takes times to spread and it shows as a long wave on the seismographs...
hmmm the times line up rather well actuly!! yup fair play.... but what about the locations no echos from the chile quake were felt? traveling through dense magma it do show up?
Thing you got to look at sometimes in Yellowstone is that they change the microvolts (the strength that the station receives noise) and that gives you a good idea why some stations in Yellowstone pick up earthquakes stronger than others, some stations might not even pick anything up that others do receive. The higher the microvolts, the station receives more noise, the lower it is, the less noise it receives. On the following link, click on various stations and look at the very bottom of each one, this will give you how sensitive or not these stations are... I have a big Yellowstone thread on here with vast information but haven't updated for a good while... http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1737042/pg1 Believe me, if anything does happen big at Yellowstone, I'd be certain to revive that old thread again...
