[quote:Anonymous Coward 41255538:MV8yNTEzNTQ4XzQzNDMzMDUzXzhBNEY0ODFB] Samsung tablets are pretty solid devices. If you look at what an iPad can do, and it's limits don't bother you, it's a great tablet as well... but the lack of customization, memory card support, direct USB ports, etc... I prefer Android. As stated, the new Nexus 7 isn't bad at all. I have a 32gb one for casual use. Very fast and reliable. I have a 10.1" tab for more serious use. Try them all and do lots of research. You'll become an expert pretty quick. [/quote]

The wife wants an ipad for wireless internet access and looking at real estate.
We've never used an ipad or iphone before and if you consider the competitors, the choices are overwhelming.
What is a good basic pad or tablet?
What is a good affordable wireless service?
Please share your advice.
Thanks,
Sky
